ADMISSIONS/ENROLLEMENT

 

Registration Forms

Willamette Christian School reserves the right to select students on the basis of academic performance and personal qualifications. WCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies and athletic or other school-administered programs.

The parents of any student admitted to WCS must be able to support the philosophy, objectives and policies of the school. The School Advisory Board reserves the right to withhold acceptance of any student if is determined that the school is not equipped to educate the student or augment the home.

Admissions Procedure

The following registration procedures must be adhered to before a child may be formally enrolled:

·         Parental Support - Parents must support the school’s statement of faith, philosophy and objectives and have a clear understanding that the Bible will be taught as the authoritative Word of God.

·         Enrollment Application - Submit application, test fees (if applicable) and non-refundable registration fee.

·         School Records - Arrange for transcripts and current standardized test results to be sent directly to the school office.

·         Immunization Records - All students must supply a current and up-to-date immunization record.

·         Recommendations - The school will mail or give you recommendation forms. Please give these to the appropriate people to be completed and mailed directly to the school. For grades 1 - 5: A recommendation is required from the student’s current principal and classroom teacher. For grades 6 - 8: A recommendation from the student’s current principal is required, along with one academic recommendation. For grades 4 - 8: A recommendation from a pastor, Sunday school teacher or church leader is also required for each student.

·         School Visit and Interview - All prospective applicants and their families are encouraged to visit the school. Parents and applying students will be required to schedule an interview with the principal or the admissions officer prior to enrollment.  Please schedule an appointment by calling the school office.

·         Testing – All new incoming students will be required to complete testing appropriate for their grade level.
